NEUROLOGY, NEUROSURGERY & Spine SERVICES
Maury Regional Medical Center offers a full range of services for individuals with a variety of neurological diseases and disorders, including stroke and injuries affecting the nervous system. We offer an experienced medical staff that includes physicians specializing in neurology, neuro hospital medicine (emergency and inpatient care), neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery.
NEUROLOGY
Maury Regional Medical Center has a multidisciplinary neurological team to treat patients at the hospital, including a neuro-hospitalist, a physician board certified in neurology dedicated to the treatment of patients admitted to the hospital. This team, complemented by around-the-clock tele-neurology services (web-based video consults), treats patients experiencing:
- Stroke
- Seizures
- Neurological complications from diseases/conditions
- Rapidly progressing dementia
NEUROSURGERY
Surgeries of the brain offered at the hospital by a neurosurgeon include:
- craniotomies and radiosurgery for brain tumors
- stereotactic biopsies of the brain
- management of chronic subdural hematomas
SPINE SURGERY
Surgeries for the spine conducted at the hospital may be performed by a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon and include:
- spinal surgery for degenerative disease
- cervical and lumbar stenosis
- disk herniation
- spinal instability
- removal of benign and malignant spinal tumors
Therapy services are also available in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We also offer a special therapy program for Parkinson’s patients.
