joint replacement ranked #1 in Tennessee

"As a pharmacist, I see a lot of patients. They overwhelmingly recommended Maury Regional for joint replacement surgery."

Bob and Faris Phillips of Lewisburg enjoy staying active. In addition to being involved in their Marshall County community, the husband and wife enjoy traveling and outdoor activities. A desire to maintain their active lifestyle without pain led both having knee replacements at Maury Regional Medical Center, followed by physical therapy at Marshall Medical Center.

Faris underwent her first knee replacement surgery in 2005. Two years later, she had surgery on the other knee. The two surgeries and therapy that followed have allowed her the increased mobility to do the things she enjoys including travel, theatre and playing tennis.

Bob, a local pharmacist and an avid tennis player, said he chose Maury Regional after seeing the good outcome that his wife experienced. Factors influencing their decision to use Maury Regional included convenience and quality of care.

“As a pharmacist, I see a lot of patients. They overwhelmingly recommended Maury Regional for joint replacement surgery,” Bob said.

“It was close, it was convenient. And they had a wonderful reputation for success,” Faris added.

After having knee replacement at Maury Regional, each continued their recovery with physical therapy at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg. “We knew we wanted to be close to home,” Bob said.

“There’s no way of saying that rehab from knee replacement is not difficult, because it is. So, if you have somebody that you have confidence in and you can feel that they are capable and caring, that means a lot,” Faris said.
