Services
When injury or illness strikes, sometimes the road to recovery
is not as short as we would like. But along that road are the
Maury Regional rehabilitation professionals to provide guidance.
From stroke to sports injuries, we offer an array of services
to improve your quality of life.
Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services include physical
therapy, occupational therapy, lymphedema management, industrial medicine program, pediatric therapy, wound care and speech
therapy for all ages. A special partnership with the
Maury County YMCA allows us to offer aquatic therapy for a variety
of patients. For those transitioning from a hospital stay, we
offer a 20-bed skilled nursing unit.
Physical Therapy
A large staff of licensed and experienced physical
therapists utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to assist the patients
in reaching their goals for rehabilitation. Their goal is your
goal—to recover
from illness or injury as quickly as possible. Physical Therapy is
provided under your physician’s order and may be scheduled
by calling 931.380.4014.
Physical Therapy services are also available at Marshall
Medical Center, Wayne Medical
Center and Lewis
Ambulatory Care Center.

Aquatic Physical Therapy
Aquatic physical therapy is designed for rehabilitation of physical
impairments. By performing restorative exercises in a swimming
pool, aquatic physical therapy adds a safe new dimension to recovery
and can be a valuable tool in your physical therapy regimen.

Occupational Therapy
Licensed and experienced occupational therapists assist patients
in performing activities of daily living and reaching their rehabilitation
goals. Occupational therapy is provided for inpatients, outpatients
and Skilled Nursing Unit patients. Programs are designed by qualified
occupational therapists for children and adults and span a wide
range of occupational skills, from daily living skills to community
reintegration.

Lymphedema Management
Lymphedema occurs when lymph fluid fills excessively in the lymph vessels as a result of a mastectomy, lymph node removal or radiation therapy. The signs and symptoms include:
- Increase in size of limb
- Heat and/or prickly feeling in limb
- Red patches: onset and/or infection
- Aching limb or shoulder
- Swelling of opposite limb
- Lack of feeling in limb
Maury Regional Hospital's Physical Therapy Center provides a comprehensive lymphedema management program through trained, certified therapists. Depending on your particular case, therapy may include: manual lymph drainage, multi-layer bandaging, a compression garment, treatment with compression pump and instruction in lifestyle modifications to help control lymphedema.

Industrial Medicine Program
Maury Regional Hospital's Physical Therapy Center has an industrial medicine program designed to help your company in the following ways:
- Maintain a safer work environment
- Decrease work-related injuries
- Promote a faster and safer return of injured employees to the workplace
Our skilled physical therapists can assist you whether it's in an industrial or office environment.

Pediatric Therapy
A multidisciplinary team, consisting of a speech, occupational and physical therapist, perform comprehensive evaluations for pediatric patients. As a team you and the appropriate therapists will design an effective rehabilitation program for your child. These services are provided in the new Maury Regional Hospital Physical Therapy Center. The pediatric pod is bright and stimulating and child friendly.

Speech Therapy
Following a stroke, injury or neurological condition, patients
may benefit from speech therapy. Maury Regional offers patients
outpatient speech therapy provided by American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association-certified speech language pathologists licensed by
the State of Tennessee.
Speech Therapy is provided under a physician’s order and may
be scheduled by calling 931.380.4014. Speech therapy is also available at the Spring Hill Medical Building.

Wound Care
Maury Regional
offers outpatients and inpatients instruction
and aid in caring for wounds related to diabetes and other injuries.
Care, cleaning and dressing are taught by nurses with specialized
training in wound care.
Skilled Nursing Unit
Recovery sometimes extends beyond a typical hospital stay. For
patients needing to transition from the hospital to home or another
setting, the 20-bed skilled nursing unit at Maury Regional Hospital
provides full service rehabilitation.
Home Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation may also be provided in your home by the professionals
