COLUMBIA, Tenn. — The 2019 Mule Town Revue will take place on November 19 from 7-9 p.m. at Columbia State Community College’s Cherry Theater. The presenting sponsor is First Farmers & Merchants Bank and proceeds will benefit the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation.
Established in 2002 by musicians and local physicians Steve Simmons, M.D., and Bob Thompson, M.D., this annual event brings together a diverse group of gifted musicians who donate their time and talent to raise funds to help those less fortunate. Mule Town Revue proceeds will be used by the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation to fund the varied programs and services of the Foundation that bridge the gap for individuals facing a health care crisis.
“Dr. Steve Simmons and Dr. Bob Thompson do an incredible job putting on the Mule Town Revue each year. An event of this size is no small feat, and we are thankful that they are passionate enough about both music and our community to orchestrate it again and again,” said Joe Kilgore, executive director of the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation. “We are also grateful for First Farmers & Merchants Bank, our presenting sponsor, for their continued support of this community event.”
Tickets will cost $20 per person and will be available in September at Eventbrite as well as the Hatcher Lane branch of First Farmers & Merchants Bank. Children 13 and under may attend at no charge but must register. Columbia State Community College is located at 1665 Hampshire Pike in Columbia.
Established in 2006, the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation has funded more than $2.3 million in programs and services for underserved and financially challenged populations.
