COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Former patients of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) and their families are invited to the unit’s annual reunion on Saturday, September 28, 2019. The event will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. at Pleasant Heights Baptist Church at 2712 Trotwood Avenue in Columbia.
This year’s reunion marks the 13th anniversary of Maury Regional’s NICU, which began serving families in 2006 in collaboration with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. The unit is staffed with neonatal physicians, neonatal nurse practitioners, neonatal registered nurses and respiratory therapists who are specially trained to provide a more acute level of newborn care.
“Our staff looks forward to each year’s reunion, which is a wonderful chance to reconnect with our former patients and their families,” said NICU Nurse Manager Kim Morrow.
