COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Forbes recently released its “America’s Best Employers by State” list, and Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) made the cut in Tennessee.

MRMC was ranked 57th out of 80 Tennessee employers that qualified and was one of nine hospitals or health systems listed. In total, 262 hospitals or health systems were included on the nationwide list of 1,382 employers.

“It’s an honor to be included on Forbes’ ‘America’s Best Employers by State’ list,” said Maury Regional Health Interim CEO and Chief Medical Officer Martin Chaney, MD. “We take great pride in making Maury Regional Health a great place to work for our employees, who ultimately are the reason for our success.”

Forbes partnered with Statista, a market research company, to compile the fourth annual list. They anonymously surveyed 70,000 people working for businesses with at least 500 employees with questions regarding remote work, compensation, workplace safety, advancement opportunities, DEI initiatives and more. They then asked respondents how likely they were to recommend their employer to others.

Located in Columbia, Maury Regional Medical Center serves as the flagship hospital for Maury Regional Health, the largest health system between Nashville and Huntsville, with approximately 2,800 employees at the organization’s hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, outpatient facilities and physician practices throughout southern Middle Tennessee.
