Comprehensive Management of the Stroke Patient


This is a four-hour course that focuses on inpatient care of the patient who has experienced a stroke. Included are causes of a stroke, patient assessment to detect neurological changes, and the use of various stroke measurement scales. The stroke core measures are discussed as an outline for evidenced based stroke care and the importance of early rehabilitation.

This course is approved for four continuing nursing education units.

Maury Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
