Pacemaker Course


This is a 4-hour course that class provides an overview of the nursing care for the patient with a temporary and permanent pacemaker.  Content covered includes:  use of pacemakers, interpretation of the paced cardiac rhythm, and detecting complications of a paced rhythm. 

Pre-requisite:
An understanding of basic cardiac rhythm interpretation and treatment.

This course is approved for 4 continuing nursing education units.

Maury Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
