PEARS PROVIDER COURSE

Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition & Stabilization 

This course is intended for the participant who routinely cares for the pediatric patient. The content covers the medical management necessary prior to the arrival of an advanced care team. This course is NOT intended as a replacement for the participant whose job requires the PALS Provider card.

The PEARS course focuses on the recognition and management of:

  • Performance of a systematic general and primary assessment to recognize a seriously ill child
  • Assessment and recognition of respiratory problems
  • Assessment and recognition of circulatory problems
  • Treatment of potentially life-threatening medical conditions that place the child at risk for cardiac arrest
  • Prevention of cardiopulmonary failure and cardiac arrest
  • Demonstration of effective CPR to resuscitate and stabilize a seriously ill infant or child

CANCELlATION & REFUNDS

The requirements for a full refund are:

  • Notice of cancellation at least seven days prior to the class.
  • Course materials are returned prior to the course (certified mail or in person).
  • Course materials must be in excellent condition.

THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR FAILURE TO PASS THE CLASS.
