Wayne Medical Center to host volunteer interest luncheon

WAYNESBORO, Tenn. —Wayne Medical Center (WMC) will host an informational luncheon on Thursday, April 19 for community members interested in joining the facility’s new volunteer program.

WMC’s new volunteer program provides members of the community an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients and visitors. According to CEO Tyler Taylor, volunteer opportunities are available in several areas, including greeting patients and assisting visitors as well as sharing talents through music therapy. The WMC volunteer program is modeled after the volunteer program at Maury Regional Medical Center, where more than 300 community members currently serve.

An informational luncheon will be held on Thursday, April 19, for those interested in learning more about becoming a volunteer at WMC. Speakers will share details on the various available ways to serve as well as the program requirements and training.
