Maury Regional Health implements new EMR and patient portal November 1

10.16.2018

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Maury Regional Health (MRH) will launch a new electronic medical record (EMR) system effective November 1, 2018. Benefits include one medical record that allows the Maury Regional Health team to provide better care coordination between providers and an enhanced patient portal.

“Maury Regional Health previously used multiple EMR software systems. By consolidating many of these systems, we will enhance our ability to serve patients across the continuum of care from medical group practices to inpatient and outpatient services,” said CEO Alan Watson.

Patients will have a medical record that reflects services received at the following entities:

  • Maury Regional Medical Center
  • Maury Regional Medical Group Practices
  • Maury Regional Physical Therapy
  • Maury Regional Urgent Care
  • Maury Regional Federally Qualified Health Centers
  • Lewis Health Center
  • Marshall Medical Center
  • Wayne Medical Center

Along with the new EMR, Maury Regional Health has introduced a new patient portal that provides patients with convenient access to their personal health care information in a secure online environment. This portal, which will take the place of the existing MyMauryCare portal, is designed to help patients manage their health by creating a location for their medical history, lab results, visit summaries, prescriptions and other important health information. The new portal is more user-friendly, easier to navigate and now offers patients the ability to request appointments and message providers at most Maury Regional Medical Group physician practices.

“This is a major transition, given the size of our organization and the number of services that we offer. We ask for patience from the public as we make this transition that will ultimately allow us to provide a greater level of care to the community,” said Watson.
