LEWISBURG, Tenn. — Marshall Medical Center (MMC) will join community partners to offer free sports physicals for middle and high school students in the coming weeks.
High school screenings
Physicals for high school student athletes will be offered on Tuesday, April 23 from 1:30 until 5 p.m. These screenings are for students entering grades nine through twelve at Marshall County High School, Cornersville High School and Forrest High School.
Middle school screenings
Physicals for middle school students will be offered on Wednesday, May 1, from 3 until 5 p.m. These screenings are for student athletes entering grades six through eight in Marshall County schools.
Both screening events will be held at the Marshall Medical Office Building, located at 1090 North Ellington Parkway, next door to the medical center. Screenings will be held on the building’s first floor. Participants are asked to arrive no later than 4:45 p.m. on the screening day for their age category.
Physicians on the medical staff at MMC will be joined by physical therapists, athletic trainers, nurses and other providers to conduct the free screenings. Assisting MMC in offering the screenings will be providers from Lewisburg Family Practice, Lewisburg Pediatrics, Mid-Tennessee Bone & Joint Clinic, Celebration Family Care, Fast Pace Urgent Care and PCL Express.
