Maury Regional Medical Group opens endocrinology practice

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Maury Regional Medical Group (MRMG) announces the opening of MRMG Endocrinology in Columbia on September 7 and welcomes Neelima Ghanta, D.O., and Bushra Z. Osmani, M.D., to the medical staff. Endocrinology is a specialty that includes treatment for diabetes, thyroid disorders and other conditions related to the endocrine system.

Dr. Ghanta received her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harrogate, Tennessee. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Sovah Health-Danville in Danville, Kentucky, and her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky.

Dr. Osmani received her medical degree from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and her fellowship in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University, North Chicago, Illinois. She is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
