HOHENWALD, Tenn. — Lewis Health Center (LHC) provided free athletic physicals to 179 youth in Lewis County Middle School and Lewis County High School this year, according to LHC Operations Director Hugh Bennett.

“Lewis Health Center is committed to the health and safety of young athletes in Lewis County,” said Bennett. “In addition to providing free athletic physicals for approximately 20 years, we also have a certified athletic trainer at sporting events.”

Athletic Trainer Tim Wells works in the schools full-time, attending practices and games. He provides nutrition counseling, concussion education and proper training techniques in addition to assessing injuries and recommending treatment as needed.

LHC Physical Therapy Manager Heather Norris, DPT, adds, “We are proud to support our school system and Tim does an outstanding job of supporting young athletes as well as the coaching teams.”
