Maury Regional Health named among 15 Top Health Systems in the nation 

Maury Regional Health (MRH) is the only system in Tennessee to be named one of the nation’s 15 Top U.S. Health Systems by Truven Health Analytics®.

Based on the results of this year’s study, winning health systems were able to achieve the following compared to non-winning peer systems:

  • 17.5 percent shorter wait times in the emergency department.
  • 13.4 percent fewer in-hospital deaths.
  • 8.5 percent fewer complications.
  • 10.2 percent shorter length of hospital stays.

Family Health Group becomes Maury Regional Medical Group


Family Health Group, Inc. (FHG), a network of physician practices serving southern Middle Tennessee, changed its name to Maury Regional Medical Group on May 1, according to CEO Mike Fecher.

“While our name has changed, our patients will continue to see the same great physicians and staff at our locations throughout the region,” Fecher said. “We are proud to be associated with a health care provider nationally recognized in the areas of clinical quality, patient safety and value.”

Maury Regional Health Care Foundation aids in launching mobile clinic

Many individuals in southern Middle Tennessee have little to no access to health care due to a lack of transportation, limited financial resources or other barriers. Maury Regional Health, through the fundraising efforts of the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation, is establishing a mobile unit to help eliminate these barriers.

The mobile unit is a 38 ft. recreational vehicle (RV) customized with two exam rooms and a laboratory area, is wheelchair accessible and will be staffed by clinical specialists who will provide services including:

  • general primary care services
  • routine screenings including glucose, cholesterol, lipid profile, height/weight (BMI) and blood pressure
  • education and outreach for preventable and manageable diseases
  • coordinating patient care through referrals to appropriate providers

Maury Regional Women’s Center earns accreditation


Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) has been granted three-year full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). This is the second consecutive three-year accreditation for the Women’s Center.

Maury Regional Wound Center recognized with national award for clinical excellence

Maury Regional Wound Center has been recognized with a national award for clinical excellence. Leaders, physicians and clinicians from MRMC recently celebrated the Center of Distinction award, which was given to MRMC by Healogics, the nation’s leading and largest wound care management company.

Maury Regional Wound Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for 12 consecutive months, including patient satisfaction higher than 92 percent and a wound healing rate of at least 91 percent in less than 31 median days. Out of 630 centers eligible for the Center of Distinction award, 334 achieved this honor in 2017.
