Maury Regional Medical Group Oncology has spacious offices inside the Maury Regional Cancer Center. This team of board certified and fellowship-trained physicians work closely with surgeons and radiation oncologists to provide a personalized treatment plan for each patient.

Our Infusion Center features 36 treatment areas, including group treatment areas and private rooms. For the comfort of our patients, treatment areas feature recliners and many have access to cable television.

Infusion treatments are delivered by skilled nurses with advanced training in chemotherapy administration. Many of our medications, including chemotherapy, are developed on-site by our expert team of pharmacists.

RADIATION ONCOLOGY

Radiation oncology (radiation therapy) is the careful use of high-energy radiation to treat cancer. A radiation oncologist may use radiation to destroy cancer cells or to relieve a cancer patient’s pain.

Radiation treatments are delivered in the Maury Regional Cancer Center by a sophisticated team who utilize advanced technology to precisely deliver radiation while sparing healthy tissue. Radiation oncologists are complemented by a team that includes simulation technologists, dosimetrists, physicists, radiation therapists and nurses.

Technologies continue to advance in the area of radiation therapy. Among these is image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy to aid in the delivery of radiation and enhance the precision of treatment for inoperable masses and cancers on highly sensitive organs such as the liver, lungs and brain.
