Cardiologist to speak at next Healthy Hearts meetings


COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Dr. Michael B. Kelley, M.D., a specialist in cardiology on the medical staff of Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), will be the special guest speaker at the August 22nd meeting of the MRMC Healthy Hearts Education Group.

Dr. Kelley received his medical degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, where he completed his internship and chief residency in internal medicine. In addition, he completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Vanderbilt University and is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. Dr. Kelley is affiliated with Vanderbilt Heart-Columbia.

The Healthy Hearts Education Group meets quarterly at 6 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the MRMC Annex, located across from the hospital and next to McDonald's at 1223½ Trotwood  Avenue. Meetings are free and open to the public. Anyone interested in learning more about the self-care and management of heart disease is encouraged to attend.
