MAURY REGIONAL OFFERS FREE SEMINAR ON FITNESS AND DIET IMPROVEMENTS

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – Maury Regional Medical Center will offer a free seminar titled “Fitness, Food and Fun” on Tuesday, January 18, in the Auxiliary Conference Room on the medical center’s first floor. The program will be held from 6 until 7:30 p.m.

The interactive and fun program will focus on improving your fitness level and making your diet healthier without sacrificing flavor.

Nathan Miller, assistant director of physical medicine at the medical center, will provide participants with information on incorporating exercise into their daily routines. “The beginning of a new year is a great time to learn ways to improve your fitness level,” said Miller. “At the seminar, we will share some easy ways to enjoy the process of getting fit.”

Cindy Dugger, chief dietitian at the medical center, will be joined by dietetic intern Laura Hill to discuss the importance of healthy eating as part of an improved lifestyle. “By making some simple changes and setting goals for the coming year, you can be on the way to a healthier diet,” said Dugger. “We will talk about how to safely modify your eating habits in order to achieve your goals.”
