Geriatric Behavioral Health
More than half of all Americans will experience behavioral health issues in their lifetime. Most often, these issues arise within our elderly loved ones. Sometimes we cannot see the pain and troubles that others are feeling, but we can see the signs. When behavioral health issues arise, seek compassionate and professional help through Marshall Medical Center’s outpatient geriatric behavioral health program.
Outpatient Care Close to Home
Behavioral health issues are not bound by age, race, or gender and for years treatment for residents in rural communities has been minimal at best. For many, it can be a missing piece of the health care picture, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Safe and effective behavioral health treatment is available close to home.
Our outpatient program for seniors provides structured treatment with emphasis on stabilization and functional improvement. Patients in the program may benefit from two therapy groups as well as a daily activity group and a daily education group conducted by a registered nurse. Patients attend 11 hours or less of treatment per week.
