More than 230 community members attend Lewis Health Center health fair

HOHENWALD, Tenn. – More than 230 people attended the annual health fair hosted by Lewis Health Center (LHC) on Saturday, September 14, in the Family Life Center at Blondy Church of God. A number of free wellness screenings were offered and participants received information on a variety of health and wellness topics.

The health fair was sponsored by LHC and Lewis County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, along with High Forest Health Group, Behavioral Healthcare Center at Columbia, Rapid Care, Volunteer Home Health of West TN, TN Quality Homecare and Hospice, D&L Home Care, Inc., and Cornerstone Health Systems.

In conjunction with the health fair, a poster contest was sponsored by Lewis Health Center, Lewis County Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and High Forest Health Group. Students in Kindergarten through 5th grades prepared posters representing the contest’s theme “Health in Motion.” In the contest’s elementary division for grades K-2, Andolyn Carroll won first place and Blayne King placed second. In the intermediate division for grades 3-5, Paige Roberson won first place and Kerrigan Reeves placed second.
