Marshall Medical Center presents college scholarship awards

LEWISBURG, Tenn. — Marshall Medical Center (MMC) has awarded college scholarships to two high school graduates who plan to pursue careers in health care, according to CEO Phyllis Brown.

Madalyn Gold and Emily Spence, both recent graduates of Marshall County High School, were the recipients of the 2014 Medical Career Scholarship awarded by MMC. The $1,000 scholarships are presented each year to students pursuing a career in the human medicine field.

MMC has awarded scholarships to area high school students for the past 18 years through the Partners in Education program.

“Marshall Medical Center is pleased to assist these two outstanding students in preparing for health care careers,” said Lisa Steely, accounting supervisor and Partners in Education coordinator for MMC. “Our employees are proud to be part of the Partners in Education program to support our local school system.”
