Marshall Medical Center employees donate items to local food bank

LEWISBURG, Tenn. – Employees, physicians and volunteers at Marshall Medical Center (MMC) recently conducted a holiday drive to collect food for local community members in need.

The medical center held its annual food drive in December, collecting nonperishable canned and boxed goods. According to program organizer Lisa Steely, boxes of food will be donated through the local housing authority to six senior residents. MMC has conducted a holiday food drive for approximately ten years.

“Each year, our staff sets a goal to help those in our community who are in need of assistance during the holiday season. We are pleased that this year’s food drive will help several local residents with their food needs,” said CEO Phyllis Brown.
