MAURY REGIONAL HOSPITAL OFFERS GREETING CARD SERVICE THROUGH WEB SITE
COLUMBIA, Tenn.--Maury Regional Hospital (MRH) has launched a new service through its Web site that enables individuals to send a greeting card to an inpatient at the hospital, according to CEO Robert Otwell.
“This wonderful new service was the result of a suggestion from one of our employees and thanks to the Auxiliary volunteers we were able to provide this benefit for the patients in our care,” said Otwell.
Visitors to the site at mauryregional.com will find a banner on the home page that enables them to send a card to an inpatient by completing a simple form. There are eight card templates from which to choose and visitors can type a personal message to a friend or family member. Once submitted, the complimentary card is e-mailed to Volunteer Services for delivery to the patient.
Volunteers deliver greeting cards Monday through Friday. Patient greetings must be received by 11:00 a.m. to be delivered the same day. Those received after 11:00 a.m. on Friday or on the weekend will be delivered the following Monday. Due to the nature of the outpatient experience, it is not possible to deliver cards to patients having same-day surgery or other outpatient procedures.
