MARSHALL MEDICAL CENTER AND FAMILY HEALTH GROUP ANNOUNCE CONSTRUCTION OF NEW CHAPEL HILL PHYSICIAN OFFICE
CHAPEL HILL, Tenn. – Marshall Medical Center (MMC) and Family Health Group (FHG) announced today their plans to open a new physician office building in the heart of Chapel Hill.
Devi Newcomb, M.D., the family medicine physician who will be the primary provider in the office, stated, “Family Health Group has been serving the residents of Chapel Hill since September 2005 in the clinic at 111 South Horton Parkway. To better serve the community and to provide continuity of care, I will be the primary physician at our existing office on a full-time basis beginning April 1 and will move into the new facility once it is complete.”
The new 3,098 sq. ft. facility, located at 4696 Nashville Highway, will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Dr. Newcomb’s staff will include Rebecca Byrd, RN, Aija Davis, MA, and Cathy Bowman, patient services representative. The office will offer six exam rooms, with plans to include X-ray and other services as volumes increase. Patients will be seen by appointment; however, walk-ins will be accepted.
Ken Rhudy, chief executive officer of MMC, stated, “Chapel Hill is experiencing rapid growth and Marshall Medical Center is pleased to join Family Health Group in providing primary care services for the residents in this growing area.”
The developer for the building is BBC, LLC and the general contractor is Truett Construction, Inc. The anticipated completion date is September 1.
Marshall Medical Center, an affiliate of Maury Regional Hospital, offers a 24-hour emergency department as well as surgical, primary care and diagnostic services.
