WAYNESBORO, Tenn. – Mike Sears has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO) of Wayne Medical Center (WMC), according to Darlene Baxter, vice president of affiliate services. Sears has served as the chief financial officer (CFO) at WMC since 2005.
Sears received his bachelor’s degree in accounting
from the University of South Florida and worked with
HCA as chief accountant, controller and CFO for approximately
23 years. Since moving to Tennessee, he has been an
active supporter of the Wayne County bicycle event,
Tour de Wayne.
"Mike has been a valued asset to Wayne Medical Center as CFO since 2005,” said Baxter. “We are now very pleased he has accepted the position as CEO. His experience and relationships make him a great leader for the hospital. He has an excellent understanding of what is needed to have a successful health care facility."
