Students provide gifts to benefit patients of Maury Regional Medical Center

                                                                                                     

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Staff members from Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) recently accepted gifts from students of two local schools—items intended to bring comfort to patients and their family members.

Zion Christian Academy preschool students donate to chapel

Students in preschool at Zion Christian Academy and their teachers, Mrs. Joy-Marie White and Mrs. Karin Shewbart, recently visited MRMC to present Bibles for the medical center’s newly renovated chapel. Each Bible has a child’s handprint inside the front cover. Students and their teachers are pictured in the chapel with Auxiliary President Betty Wells (far left) and Pastoral Care Coordinator Rebecca Payne Duke and Michele Marbet, a member of the medical center’s Spirituality Committee (far right).

Sante Fe HOSA provides gifts for pediatric patients

Members of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) organization at Sante Fe School visited the MRMC Pediatrics Unit in April to present 25 Build-A-Bear toys collected as part of a community service project. The students offered the stuffed animals to comfort young patients during their stay.
