TYLER APPOINTED TO MAURY REGIONAL HOSPITAL BOARD OF TRUSTEES
COLUMBIA, Tenn.— Michael Lee Tyler, D.D.S., of Mount Pleasant has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Maury Regional Hospital (MRH) Board of Trustees. The announcement was made at the January board meeting.
“We are pleased and honored to have Dr. Tyler on the board of trustees,” said CEO Robert Otwell. “He has been a valuable member of the community for many years. His knowledge and experience will make him an asset to the board.”
Dr. Tyler was born in Columbia and attended Columbia
Central High School and Columbia State Community College,
where he obtained an associate degree in chemistry.
He graduated in 1979 with a bachelor of science degree
in chemistry and biology from Memphis State University
and entered the University of Tennessee Center for Health
Sciences Dental School in Memphis, graduating in 1983.
He returned to Maury County to practice dentistry in
Mount Pleasant, where he has remained for nearly 25
years.
Dr. Tyler has been a member of the Mount Pleasant Rotary Club since 1983, serving as president and receiving the Paul Harris Fellow Award in 1985. He has also served on the MRH Advisory Board and as chairman of the Maury County E-911 board. He is currently serving on the Mount Pleasant Industrial Board and the Mount Pleasant Power Board.
