MAURY REGIONAL WOMEN'S CENTER OFFERS LUNCHEON SEMINAR FOR WOMEN

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury Regional Women’s Center will be hosting a free luncheon program titled Women Helping Women on Wednesday, April 8, at noon in the Auxiliary Conference Room at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Dr. K. Dwayne Fulks, a board certified plastic surgeon on the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center, will discuss the many types of surgical procedures that plastic surgeons are asked to perform, including cosmetic and non-cosmetic procedures. Topics will include breast reconstruction, breast augmentation, pediatric reconstructive procedures and non-surgical procedures, including the latest treatment products. The presentation will include before and after photos that will be helpful in understanding the nature of the procedures. He will also share information about some of his surgical work in underdeveloped countries.

Dr. Fulks received his medical degree from East Tennessee State University School of Medicine in Johnson City and completed a residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga and is board certified in plastic surgery.

Women Helping Women is a free quarterly lunch and learn series that addresses health issues facing women today.
