Maury Regional Women's Center offers free luncheon seminar

COLUMBIA, Tenn. – The Maury Regional Women’s Center will host a free Women Helping Women luncheon program on Wednesday, October 16, at noon, in the Auxiliary Conference Room at Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC).

According to the National Cancer Institute, it is estimated that one out of every eight women in the United States will develop breast cancer during her lifetime. At the upcoming luncheon, Mark H. Messenger, M.D., a specialist in medical oncology with Family Health Group Oncology, will discuss breast cancer.

Dr. Messenger will explain the risk factors for breast cancer and discuss the treatment options that are available to women facing a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Local breast cancer survivor Breanna Andrews will also share words of encouragement.
