Effective pain management now available at Wayne Medical Center

WAYNESBORO—Effective management of chronic pain of the lower back and legs is now locally available at the new Center for Specialty Care at Wayne Medical Center.

“Pain is never convenient, especially chronic pain,” said Gerald Faircloth, Wayne Medical Center CEO. “Fortunately, residents of Wayne County and the surrounding areas can now be treated for the relief of a variety of pain issues without the inconvenience of leaving town.”

The Center for Specialty Care focuses on providing professional on-site diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ongoing pain syndromes. Areas treated include the lower back and legs.

Dr. Joe Hall and Dr. Harish Veeramachaneni, who have both practiced at Wayne Medical Center for several years, will provide diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain issues at the Center for Specialty Care.

“Chronic pain is all too common today,” said Dr. Veeramachaneni. “More than 76.5 million Americans report having a back pain persisting for more than twenty-four hours at a time. That's why we're so pleased to provide various medical and interventional (injection) approaches to patients with chronic low back and leg pain.”

“Effective pain management can ease or eliminate pain while teaching skills to help patients return to a more normal, productive life,” added Dr. Hall. “Our treatments do not include habit-forming drugs, so recovery or pain management programs can produce better responses for longer lasting relief.”

Only a trained physician administers treatment ensuring the best professional medical care possible. Treatments are administered within a full-service hospital, Wayne Medical Center, where the Center for Specialty Care is physically located.
