TncC - Trauma Nursing Core Course


This is a 16-hour course that presents information for Trauma Nursing Core. TNCC may be officially attended by registered nurses (RNs). Other health care professionals may attend the course ONLY as auditors. If you are a member of the Maury Regional Health system but are not Emergency RN staff, please call extension 1648 or extension 7428 for information about joining the class.

The course objectives are:

  • Systematic approach to the initial assessment
  • Hands-on training to provide expert care
  • Evidence-based content developed by trauma experts
  • Patient advocacy regarding pain management and family presence

This course is approved for 17.65 continuing nursing education units. The Emergency Nurses Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Maury Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Advance registration is required. The registration deadline is two weeks prior to the scheduled course.

Maury Regional Health Employees: Maury Regional Health employees enroll via the Professional Development Academy. Employees must also get department approval.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

If you need to cancel, please contact Nursing Professional Development at 931.381.1111, ext. 7428.

The requirements for a full refund are:

  • Notice of cancellation at least seven days prior to the class.
  • Course materials are returned in excellent condition prior to the course (certified mail or in person).

THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR FAILURE TO PASS THE CLASS.
