Laboratory Services

Our fully equipped laboratory provides Maury Regional Medical Center and affiliate/ancillary collection sites with quick access to information and diagnostics. The laboratory is staffed with licensed medical technology professionals and is under the direction of board certified pathologists. Our laboratory is fully accredited by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of the State of Tennessee, the Joint Commission, College of American Pathologists, and the American Association of Blood Banks. The central laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to provide support to inpatients, outpatients, emergency patients as well as patients from ancillary sites. 

Affiliate Collection Sites

All affiliate/ancillary locations serve as collection sites for various specimen types. Some sites perform limited testing, and there is a courier service that transports specimens on non-routine lab work such as urine cultures, thyroid tests, PSAs and arthritis profiles to the Maury Regional Medical Center laboratory in Columbia.
