Rapid advancements in medical technology have radically changed surgical procedures. Maury Regional Medical Center has kept pace with these changes. More than 50 physicians on the medical staff perform surgeries ranging from outpatient procedures to open-heart surgery. And all of the anesthesiologists on our medical staff are board certified. From admission to recovery, you will be cared for by experienced professionals. 

The Surgical Services Department includes 10 surgical suites, on-site pathology capabilities, an endovascular lab and a digital imaging system that enables physicians to view diagnostic images such as MRIs during the surgical procedure. Maury Regional’s surgical specialties include:

Same Day Surgery

Many surgeries that once required a hospital stay can now be performed on an outpatient basis through advancements such as minimally invasive laparoscopic and endoscopic procedures. Conveniently located on Maury Regional Medical Center's second floor, the Same Day Surgery Unit is designed to help you return to the comfort of your own home the same day following many surgical procedures.

If a family member or friend would like to leave the unit during the patient's procedure, our staff will contact them when the patient is coming out of surgery so that they are in the room when the patient arrives and are available to speak to the physician.

Surgery Center

Designed to help you return to the comfort of your own home, the surgery center, conveniently located on the third floor in the Outpatient Pavilion, has been specifically designed to give personal and professional care for outpatient surgeries. It is suitable for all ages and offers a warm and personalized outpatient setting that is convenient and efficient. More than 20 local physicians utilize the surgery center and specialties include:

You and your surgeon will determine if your outpatient surgical procedure will be done in the medical center surgery suite or in the surgery center.

Scheduled for Surgery?

Most surgical procedures require pre-surgical testing, ranging from lab work to a chest X-ray. Your physician's office will schedule your appointment with pre-surgical testing. If you have any questions, please call 931.380.4129.
