"From the nurse at the front desk of the ER to the cath lab staff, they knew exactly what was going on and exactly what to do. I believe had it not gone that way, there was a fairly significant risk of dying on the spot or having significant heart damage. I had neither of those occur, thankfully, and it was because of the excellent work of the staff at Maury Regional." -- Slim Marlar

Slim Marlar, an Air Force veteran and Lynnville, Tennessee, resident, was suffering from a heart attack when he arrived at the Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) Emergency Department in March of 2023. After receiving lifesaving care in the MRMC cardiac catheterization laboratory, he's back to his normal, active lifestyle. He's also had help from the catheterization laboratory in getting re-certified to fly.
