Losing someone you love is painful and brings about a multitude of emotions that vary by individual and by experience. The goal of the Grief Support Group is to offer comfort and guidance for those coping with the loss of a loved one by offering a supportive environment to share experiences, resources and coping strategies.
According to MRMC Chaplain Lyndall Propst, who facilitates the meetings, the group is a way for participants to process their grief — particularly after the last year — in a safe space with other individuals experiencing similiar emotions.
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Maury Regional Annex (located at 1223 Trotwood Avenue in Columbia). Advance registration is not required. In accordance with hospital policy, masks and social distancing are required at all times while in the facility. For more information, call 931.540.4243.
