Pediatric Diabetes Support Groups

February 20, 2024  |   5:30 PM  -   6:30 PM

Diabetes impacts more than 37 million people in the U.S., including approximately 283,000 children. While there is no cure for diabetes, proactively managing the condition can lower the risk of long-term health problems. If your child is diagnosed with diabetes, it is perfectly natural to have questions and concerns.

That’s why Maury Regional Health is offering a free Pediatric Diabetes Support Group. The group meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. at the Maury Regional Annex, which is located at 1223 Trotwood Avenue in Columbia (across from the hospital). The group is intended to provide encouragement and education for children with type 1 or type 2 diabetes as well as their support systems.

For more information about the support group or Maury Regional Health’s diabetes services, please call 931.540.4324 or visit MauryRegional.com/Diabetes.

The group does not meet in December.
