Hughes received her master's degree in nursing from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and a bachelor's degree in nursing from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. Hughes is a specialized Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) with a sub-specialization in Palliative Care. She will provide services in the critical care unit at Maury Regional Medical Center.
