Maury Regional Health Care Foundation announces board appointments

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation recently announced appointments to its board of directors for 2021.

Stephen Hughes, senior commercial banking officer at First Farmers and Merchants Bank, will continue in his role as chair of the board for 2021. Retired educator Adrienne Law will also continue serving as chair-elect. New officers for 2021 include Kelley McCall, executive vice president of Columbia Power & Water Systems, serving as treasurer along with Emily McKnight, a local counseling professional, serving as secretary.

New members of the board include:

  • Johnny Langsdon, president and CEO of Columbia Machine Works, Inc.
  • Larry McKnight, retired executive director of the National Guard Association of Tennessee
  • Jennifer Richardson, vice president and branch manager of Reliant Bank in downtown Columbia
  • Walker Vining, vice president of Turner & Osborne
  • Former Tennessee State Representative Mike Williams, master distiller of Tennessee Distilling Group

Grace Wu, M.D., a board-certified specialist in internal medicine and pediatrics on the medical staff at Maury Regional Medical Center, will rejoin the board for a third term following one year as a board ambassador. In addition, Jason Rich, an insurance agent at My Team Insurance Services, LLC, completed his first three-year term on the board and will return for a second term.

Board members whose terms expired and will transition into roles as board ambassadors include David Craig, PhD, Michael Franks, Columbia Mayor Chaz Molder, Edward Moore and Myra Staggs.

“With the support and expertise of this group of experienced professionals, we will continue to advance the Foundation’s mission of providing important health care support programs and services to benefit community members in need,” said Foundation Executive Director Joe Kilgore. “I am grateful for their service and leadership.”

The board of directors for the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation currently consists of 29 voting members, 11 board ambassadors and 7 emeritus members. Members of the board may serve two three-year terms as voting members before becoming ambassadors. Since 2006, the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation has funded nearly $3.4 million in programs and services for at-risk and underserved patients across southern Middle Tennessee. These programs include the mobile medical unit, medication and transportation assistance, community health initiatives, a food bank for discharged patients in need, educational support, employee assistance and more.
