MRMC Food and Nutrition named Morrison’s Regional Account of the Year

COLUMBIA, Tenn. — The Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) Food Services team was recently recognized as Regional Account of the Year by Morrison Healthcare.

Food Services managers and staff accepted the award at a celebration with Morrison representatives, including Regional Vice President Tim Bumann.

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass One Healthcare company, is a national leader in health care food and nutrition support services that partners with more than 975 hospitals and health care systems in the U.S. Morrison and Maury Regional Health have partnered for more than 50 years.

MRMC was named Regional Account of the Year based on several criteria, including putting safety first, being employee focused, financial stewardship and food and nutrition services.

“We have 55 employees who work tirelessly every day to ensure the nutritional needs and hospitality are tended to for both patients and employees,” said Jerry Coulter, director of food and nutrition for MRH. “We are very proud of the staff and the work they do to make Maury Regional an outstanding place to work and receive care.”

The MRMC Food Services team operates the cafeteria on the ground floor of the main hospital building and the Java Junction on the first floor. The cafeteria is open daily from 6:30-9:30 a.m. for breakfast, 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. for lunch Monday-Friday and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. for lunch Saturday and Sunday. The Java Junction is open from 6 a.m.-2 a.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-2 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.
