COLUMBIA, Tenn. — Maury Regional Health (MRH) CEO Martin Chaney, MD, has been appointed to the Tennessee Hospital Association (THA) Board of Directors.
Dr. Chaney joined 27 other health care professionals from across the state on the board.
“The Tennessee Hospital Association does an outstanding job of advocating for the state’s health systems and their patients,” Dr. Chaney said. “I am honored to represent Maury Regional Health as a member of the board of directors and look forward to working with my fellow board members to further achieve that goal.”
Dr. Chaney was appointed as CEO of MRH in September after serving as interim CEO and chief medical officer.
He has approximately 25 years of clinical and management experience, 21 of which have been at MRH. Dr. Chaney received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, and completed his residency at University of South Alabama Hospital and Clinics in the specialties of internal medicine and pediatrics.
