Maury Regional Health is a not-for-profit organization committed to serving the health needs of residents in the region, regardless of their financial means. We have financial assistance policies in place for those who may need support.

Patients with annual family incomes of less than 250% of the federal poverty level, and without sufficient assets available to meet patient payment obligations, will be eligible for financial assistance. (Visit  website of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for current poverty level guidelines.)

Type of Assistance
Family income, assets, and medical expenses will be considered when making an eligibility determination on financial assistance. Free care is available to patients with limited assets and family income equal to or less than the federal poverty level. Discounted care is available to patients with limited assets and family income between the federal poverty level and 250% of the federal poverty level. Patients not meeting these eligibility guidelines, but with high medical expenses during a twelve-month period, may qualify for catastrophic care assistance.

Fees Charged Patients Eligible for Financial Assistance
Patients eligible for financial assistance, and having no insurance coverage, will be granted a discount on bills for emergency and medically necessary care that will not exceed fees paid for patient care by the organization’s most favored commercial insurance payer.
