TONY STARKS MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

The Maury Regional Health Care Foundation will host the 2023 Tony Starks Memorial Golf Tournament on Thursday, Sept. 21, in Maury County. Details about the location are forthcoming. The tournament is a four-player scramble with up to 50 teams that are divided into morning and afternoon tee times.

This annual event is named in memory of Tony Starks, a former manager at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia who lost his battle with cancer in 2000. Proceeds from the golf tournament allow the Foundation to provide assistance in the form of community health initiatives, cancer programs, transportation/medication assistance and more.

Morning tee-off is at 8 a.m., while the afternoon tee-off is at 1:30 p.m. Prizes will be given for first and second place in three flights: closest to the hole, longest drive and a putting contest. In addition, there will be a hole-in-one grand prize. A rain date has been reserved for Thursday, Sept. 28.
