D-3: Bridging The Gap


This is a four-hour course that will cover the different types of diabetes, associated risk factors, medication management, carbohydrate counting when making meal plans, treating hypoglycemia and ways to promote meaningful education to these patients. The diabetes educator and dietitian present the program.

This course is approved for four continuing nursing education units.

Maury Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
