Walk-in Wednesday Mammogram Screenings
Mammograms can detect breast cancer in its early stages before any signs or symptoms may be present. That's why Wayne Medical Center recommends that all women 40 and older receive a screening mammogram each year.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Wayne Medical Center will offer walk-in Wednesday mammogram screenings Oct. 9 and 23 from 1 to 4 p.m. to provide convenient access for women seeking their annual mammogram. No appointment is required.
Most insurance plans cover an annual screening mammogram. For those who qualify and are uninsured, the Tennessee Department of Health will be available at Wayne Medical Center during this time to offer free mammography screenings through the Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program.
